Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Supply Packaging Planner to develop replenishment plans that ensure all production orders are met on time while maintaining optimal inventory levels for AlumierMD, an innovative and disruptive global skincare brand. You’ll be responsible for building resilient supplier partnerships, driving innovation in packaging operations, and ensuring seamless alignment with finished goods planning. Working closely with the Finished Goods Planner, you’ll play a key role in delivering best-in-class operational performance.

Eligible candidates must reside in the GTA.

Responsibilities: Packaging Master Production Planning - Create and maintain a rolling 12‑month Packaging Master Production Schedule in Gains, supported by Dynamics GP & SalesPad
• Analyze risks in supplier commitments; build contingency plans for stock-outs or lead-time spikes Supplier Relationship & Development - End-to-end ownership of RFQs, PO issuance, price tracking and MOQ negotiations within budgetary guidelines
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives: new pack designs, cost-savings and efficiency projects Quality & Escalation Management - Lead root-cause investigations on packaging defects; coordinate corrective-action plans with QA and CMOs
• Escalate unresolved quality or capacity issues to the Supply Planning Manager with data‑backed recommendations Cross-Functional Collaboration - Distribute weekly production status reports to Sales, Marketing, Demand Planning and NPD teams
• Partner daily with NPD team, Finance & Accounts Payable, Inventory Manager, Warehouse & Logistics, CMOs, Finished Goods Planner and S&OP Manager
• Feed packaging-component status into the FG Planner’s weekly production report
• Act as a key liaison across internal departments—such as Product Development, Accounting, and Marketing—to drive packaging-related process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
• Influence cross-functional stakeholders to align on priorities, remove bottlenecks, and accelerate decision-making in support of operational and strategic goals New Product Development (NPD) Support - Actively participate in NPD initiatives, ensuring supply chain readiness for product launches
• Collaborate with product development, marketing, and manufacturing teams to align production and material planning with NPD timelines
• Identify potential supply chain risks for new products and implement proactive solutions Packaging & Materials Planning - Develop Material Requirements Planning (MRP) for packaging materials to support production schedules
• Issue purchase orders for packaging components, ensuring timely procurement from approved suppliers
• Manage supplier relationships, resolving shortages, missed deliveries, and quality issues
• Lead internally driven packaging development initiatives focused on improving operational efficiency and reducing costs Global Ancillary & Promotional Materials - Manage supply of global ancillary (marketing) items, ensuring availability to support promotional activities and campaigns
• Collaborate with marketing and logistics to forecast and procure campaign-specific materials Process Improvement & Systems Implementation (25%) - Participate in the rollout of new supply chain planning and execution systems
• Establish best practices in inventory management, purchasing, and production scheduling
• Continuously identify and execute process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency Decision-Making & Authority - Autonomous lead on all packaging RFQs, POs and MOQ negotiations within approved guidelines
• Escalate major cost, capacity or quality decisions to the Supply Planning Manager
