Summary

Due to recent promotions, we are seeking 4 Experienced Casino Security Officer's to join our team at Deerfoot Inn & Casino. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our guests, staff, and property. Your vigilance and expertise will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe environment within our hotel and casino.

Responsibilities
• Report to the Manager of Security & Surveillance and/or Senior Security Supervisor to aid in upholding safety protocols.
• Implement age and access regulations throughout the casino and its vicinity.
• Perform routine patrols to protect patrons, employees, and property.
• Provide outstanding customer service to improve guest experiences.
• Respond to emergencies and medical incidents while coordinating with local emergency services.
• Other tasks & duties assigned by Supervisors or Management.
• Requirements
• Candidates MUST reside in the Calgary, Alberta area and be either a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, or possess an open work permit to be eligible for consideration.
• A minimum of 3+ years of recent experience as a Security Officer in Canada is required. Recent experience in Casino Security/Surveillance or Gaming within Canada or an international setting is highly preferred.
• Post-secondary education in criminology or a suitable combination of education and experience will be considered an asset.
• A clear Security Clearance from the Calgary Police Service/RCMP, with no criminal convictions or pending charges in the court system.
• Candidates must be physically fit and capable of performing all job responsibilities, including patrol duties, climbing stairs, patron removals, emergency response and lifting up to 50lbs unassisted.
• AGLC Certificates, including Anti Money Laundering, Deal Us in Casino Staff Training (Phases 1 & 2), ProTect, and ProServe, are mandatory.
• A valid Standard First Aid/CPR-C & AED certification or higher is required.
• Preferred qualifications include Defence Tactics Threat Pattern Recognition (formerly PPCT), Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training, and/or handcuffing training.
• Proficiency in MS Office and other Windows-based programs is necessary.
• Strong communication skills are essential for effective verbal and written reporting in English.
• Candidates must demonstrate a high level of honesty and integrity, adhering to elevated standards, methods, and procedures.
• The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment is essential.

This hiring is ONLY for our Night Shift Teams, there are NO Day Shift openings at this time. Weekends WILL be required, Female Candidates will receive priority given the nature of our business.
