Monday - Friday, 7 am - 3 pm
Pay:

Starting rate – $18/hr
Scope for the position:
• Prepare (pick and pack) customer orders accurately for same day/next day shipping
• Maintain appropriate lines per hour quota related to order picking
• Ensure total customer satisfaction and meet on time delivery schedule
• Responsible for food safety within their scope of work

Basic function of the position:
• Prepare (pick and pack) orders from pick/ship and or invoice list as directed
• Occasionally help with, shipping and inventory control duties

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Pick customer orders
• Ensure order picked matches pick/ship copy and or invoice copy
• Follow procedures outlined in shipping work instructions for “special customers” i.e. Mass market
• Pack orders for protection while in transit while following appropriate packing guidelines for specific product categories
• Palletize orders for shipping
• Complete required shipping paperwork
• Record the appropriate information in Excel based shipping files
• Clean and organize packing area
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required qualifications, education, experience, training, skills, background, certifications:
• Grade 12 diploma (OSSD)
• 1-2 years of previous experience in a similar environment is considered an asset
• Previous material handling equipment experience is considered an asset, not required.
• Have the ability to multi-task in a fast and ever-changing environment
• Able to bend, kneel, reach, stand and walk for entire shift
• Able to lift up to 50 LBS on a consistent basis
• Excellent attention to detail
