Job Description
Reporting to the Shop manager, the welder must be able to perform the duties of welding carbon steel to meet CWB requirements,

CWB ticket: SMAW, FCAW (F/H minimum)

Structural, plate / sheet experience

Tolerance is 1/16"

Minimum 40 - 44 hours per week

Must be available for immediate start to work

Specific Duties, but not limited to:

- Ensure that goods and services are produced efficiently.

- Tack-welds or welds components and assemblies, using electric, gas, arc, or other welding equipment.

- Removes rough spots from work, using portable grinder, hand file, or scraper.

- Ignites torch and adjusts valves, amperage, or voltage to obtain desired flame or arc

- Read engineering drawings and specifications.

- Develops templates and other fixtures to hold and align parts.

- Maintain a clean and safe workspace.

- maintaining QA/QC policies and procedures

- Making sure that products are produced on time and good quality

- Maintaining equipment

Qualifications:

- 2nd, 3rd year apprentices or Journeyman

-CWB certified MANDATORY

-FCAW certified MANDATORY

-Structural experience an asset
