Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled CWB Certified Welder to join our clients team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, fitting, and welding structural steel and metal components while maintaining quality and safety standards. This position is ideal for an individual who takes pride in workmanship, works well in a team environment, and is looking for a long-term opportunity within a growing company.

Pay: $35/ hour

Job Type: 2 month contract

Shifts Available:
• 2:30pm – 11:00pm
• 4:30pm - 3:00am – Overtime
• 6:00pm – 6:00am – Overtime

Responsibilities
• Perform MIG, FCAW, and Stick welding on structural steel and metal components
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings
• Operate welding equipment, grinders, cutting torches, and other shop tools safely and efficiently
• Complete welding tasks according to CWB standards and company specifications
• Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and structural integrity
• Assist with fitting, fabrication, and assembly of materials
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production deadlines

Qualifications
• Valid CWB Certification required
• Previous experience in structural steel, fabrication, or manufacturing environments preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
• Experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts is considered an asset
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Physically capable of lifting materials and standing for extended periods
