Job Description
Company Overview

17 Plumbing is one of the fastest-growing emergency plumbing companies in Oakville and the GTA. We specialize in same-day response for sewer backups, clogged drains, leak repairs, and after-hours emergencies. If you want to actually do plumbing work β€” solve real problems, drive a stocked truck, get paid well to be good at your trade β€” keep reading.

What You'll Do
β€’ Respond to emergency plumbing calls: toilet overflows, drain clogs, sewer backups, leak repairs
β€’ Diagnose issues on-site and walk customers through clear, honest solutions
β€’ Perform drain cleaning, snaking, and general plumbing repairs
β€’ Stay calm and professional in high-stress situations β€” homeowners are panicked, you're the help that shows up
β€’ Keep your assigned company truck clean, stocked, and ready to roll

Shift Structure β€” Please Read Carefully Before Applying

This role is built around emergency response, not a fixed 9-to-5. During your scheduled Mon–Sat shift, you must:
β€’ Be fully available and reachable
β€’ Respond to dispatch within 2–5 minutes
β€’ Be ready to leave for the job site immediately
β€’ Not be working another job during scheduled hours

This is not a flexible, partial-availability, or side-gig role. If you have other commitments that make rapid response difficult, this won't be a fit β€” and that's okay, but please don't apply.

Pay & Benefits
β€’ $38–$40/hr based on experience
β€’ Saturday rate: 1.5x base
β€’ Health insurance
β€’ Company truck β€” fully equipped, fully maintained
β€’ Gas covered (zero vehicle expenses out of pocket)
β€’ Steady emergency call volume β€” top performers consistently get strong hours

Note: This is on-call work. Total weekly hours depend on incoming call volume. Slow shifts may mean fewer paid hours.

Requirements
β€’ 2+ years of plumbing experience (residential, commercial, or emergency service)
β€’ Working knowledge of drain systems, drain cleaning, and emergency repairs
β€’ Valid Ontario driver's license β€” clean abstract strongly preferred
β€’ Reliable, responsive, and trustworthy with company tools and customer property
β€’ Comfortable handling urgent, high-pressure customer situations professionally
