Our services include tailings and hydro-transport pipeline construction and maintenance, piping and modular fabrication, storage tank construction and maintenance, industrial facilities multi-discipline construction, and pipeline integrity services.

SUMMARY

Primoris Canada is seeking Journeyperson B Pressure welders to support a multiple long term projects at our fabrication yard in Acheson, AB. The project offers up to two years of work, providing long‑term stability for qualified tradespeople. This position involves outdoor pipe fabrication yard environment, supporting large-diameter pipe spools from 24” to 42”and fabricated assemblies.

Anticipated Start Date: May

Location: Acheson, AB

Shift: Nightshift 4x10s (Mon-Thurs. 4:30pm to 3:00am) with potential for overtime

Inclusive Rate: $59.56/hr (Inclusive of employer contributions for vacation/statutory, health and welfare, RSP, RSP matching, education, training and $3.00/hr outdoor premium)

Hourly Rate: $48.30

JOB DUTIES
• Comply with Company OH&S safety requirements
• Read and interpret weld procedures (WPS) and isometric drawings
• Weld using SMAW, STT/FCAW process
• Inspect and verify weld quality to code and specifications
• Work safely around cranes, rigging, and mobile equipment
• Participate in toolbox meetings
• Maintain housekeeping in work areas
• Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
• Alberta registered Journeyperson (or equivalent)
• Experience with roll welding using solid wire/FCAW groove and fillet welds
• Valid CSTS-20
• WHMIS
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working outdoors
• Strong commitment to safety and quality
• Team-oriented and self-motivated
• Pre-employment alcohol and drug testing is a condition of employment.
