Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada requires a valid work permit under the Temporary Foreign Worker Program with an approved LMIA for NOC 72106 welders. Q What education and certification are needed to qualify as a welder in Canada?
Employment and Social Development Canada lists completion of a 2-3 year apprenticeship or Red Seal certification as mandatory for NOC 72106 welder positions.
