Location: Mississauga, ON

Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour

Shifts: Sunday to Saturday | 7pm - 7am | Continental Shift

Overview:

We are seeking responsible and reliable individuals to join our team as Security Professional - Patrol (Overnight Shift) at one of our shelter sites in Mississauga, ON. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the premises. You will be the first line of defense in deterring unwanted individuals from the area and maintaining a safe environment for staff, residents, and the community.

Responsibilities:
• Site Patrolling: Conduct regular patrols around the exterior of the shelter to monitor any security threats, disturbances, or unusual activities.
• Physical Security: Maintain a visible presence to ensure the safety of shelter staff, residents, and the surrounding area.
• Incident Reporting: Document and report incidents accurately, ensuring all relevant details are captured for future reference and analysis.
• Threat Assessment: Evaluate situations to determine the level of risk and recommend appropriate responses.
• Professional Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication through email correspondence with team members and other stakeholders.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to security across all operations.
• Emergency Response: Act swiftly in emergency situations, coordinating with law enforcement and emergency services as necessary.
• Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of incidents, inspections, and other relevant documentation for compliance and review.

Requirements:
• 1-2 years of experience working in Shelter, High Risk Environment
• Customer Service and clear communication skills is an asset
• Must have a valid Ontario Security License.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience
• Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours a week.
• First Aid and CPR
