BAKER AND CASHER JOB REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Requirements
• Language: English Education College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
• Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.): Culinary or Baking and Pastry Student (Graduate)
• Experience: 1 YEAR minimum experience in baking industry or food production

Additional Skills
• Prepare and bake specialty foods
• Familiar with baking terms and baking theory
• Ability to troubleshoot or identify problems in the bakery
• Knowledge of Japanese ingredients and traditional Japanese sweets/pastries baking experience is an advantage
• Must lift up to 20kg of weight
• Can stand for long periods of times
• Works well in a team and able to cooperate with co-workers
• Possesses good time management skills and can multi-task
• Can work in hotter temperatures and fast paced environment

Responsibilities
• Baking
• Assisting opening and closing store
• Scaling of ingredients, stocking and preparing packaging, supplies
• Customer Service
• Cleaning and Maintenance of bakery
• Inventory control
• Delivery ingredients and baked goods to several locations for the Driver position.

Availability
• Minimum 5 days, 40 hours per week for full time positions.
• As early as 7 am or until 10 pm depending on store location
• Available to work statutory holidays
• At least 1 closing shift per week
• At least 1 weekend shift per week (Saturday or Sunday)
