Job Summary
We are seeking energetic and customer-focused Restaurant Staff to join our team. This role involves providing excellent food service, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and efficient dining environment. Ideal candidates will have a passion for the food industry, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting. Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. Responsibilities
• Greet customers warmly and provide attentive service throughout their visit
• Take food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems.
• Prepare and serve food items according to established standards and safety guidelines
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations
• Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, tables, and dining spaces in compliance with food safety standards
• Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff when required
• Ensure timely delivery of orders to customers, managing time effectively during busy periods
• Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests
Experience
• Previous experience at Shawarma restaurant is mandatory.
• Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for those new to the role.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar cashiering tools is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and order calculations
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Experience in serving or restaurant operations is advantageous but not required; enthusiasm for working in a team-oriented environment is essential
• Must be a Permanent Resident, Work Permit holder, or Canadian Citizen
• Available to work flexible shifts as needed, including evenings and weekends
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
