Position Title: DZ Driver

Location: Ottawa, ON

Salary: $25/hour

Schedule: Start times vary between 5:00 AM and 8:00 AM, depending on delivery route

Job Summary: DZ Driver

We are seeking a DZ Driver to join a high-performing delivery team. This role involves safely operating a DZ-permitted truck to deliver specialized products to various locations, performing hands-on installations when required, and providing top-notch customer service.

Key Responsibilities: DZ Driver
β€’ Operate DZ-permitted trucks (automatic) including 5-ton vehicles with tailgates, ensuring timely and safe deliveries.
β€’ Load, unload, and secure products at the distribution center and customer sites.
β€’ Conduct vehicle safety inspections before and after shifts and report any maintenance concerns.
β€’ Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and obtain customer confirmations.
β€’ Represent the company in a professional manner, interacting with clients and addressing concerns politely and effectively.
β€’ Follow all traffic regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
β€’ Occasionally handle returns or assist with the installation of equipment and machinery, including bank machines, lottery machines, photocopiers, and certain medical devices.

Qualifications and Experience: DZ Driver
β€’ Minimum 2 years of DZ driving experience.
β€’ Valid DZ driver’s license and a clean driving record.
β€’ Comfortable lifting and handling heavy items (up to 75 lbs, often assisted by equipment or teammates).
β€’ Experience with tools, power tools, or mechanical installations is a plus, but training is provided.
β€’ Strong English communication skills; ability to engage with customers and colleagues effectively.
β€’ Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
β€’ WHMIS / TDG awareness
