Job Description
β€’ Located in commercial, institutional and industrial or residential buildings.
β€’ Installs, repairs, changes, or replaces plumbing systems that distribute, store, or dispose of water, air, or gas for:
β€’ Sanitary equipment; and
β€’ Heating systems
β€’ Reads plans, drawings, and specifications to determine the location of pipes, heating systems, and water supply and drainage systems.
β€’ Determines the placement of pipes and fittings and cuts openings in walls, floors, and ceilings.
β€’ Measures, cuts, and bends pipes using manual or mechanical machines or tools.
β€’ Connects pipes using hose clamps, screws, bolts, or material for gluing, soldering, or welding. Installs supports, valves, and conduits.
β€’ Connects equipment, checks system leak-tightness, and performs the correct adjustments at commissioning.
β€’ Performs all other related tasks.

Requirements
β€’ CCQ competency certificate – Journeyman
β€’ Command of the Quebec plumbing code
β€’ Ability to read plans and diagrams
β€’ Skills in welding, measuring, tracing, bonding, coating, bending, etc.
β€’ Excellent knowledge of materials (copper, stainless steel, iron, steel, zinc, plastic, etc.)
β€’ Team player
β€’ Ability to work on scaffolding at height outdoors no matter the season
β€’ Ability to use a wide variety of tools and equipment
β€’ Ability to move heavy objects
β€’ Punctual self-starter
β€’ Travel to various sites in Greater Montreal and surrounding areas
β€’ Valid class 5 driver’s licence (asset)
β€’ Written and spoken French
