Job Description
Job Overview:

As an Order Picker/Packer at our glass installation company specializing in windows, shower doors, and custom store fixtures, you will be a crucial part of our operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting, inspecting, and packaging glass products and related components for delivery to job sites and customers.

Responsibilities:

Order Selection & Picking:
• Review pick tickets, work orders, and installation schedules to determine which glass products and components are required for each job.
• Verify that selected items match specifications, including dimensions, thickness, finish, and quantity.

Quality Control & Inspection:
• Carefully inspect all glass products before packing to ensure they are free from chips, scratches, defects, or imperfections.
• Flag any damaged or non-conforming products for immediate review by quality control or production teams.

Packing & Protection
• Safely pack glass products using appropriate protective materials including foam, corner protectors, blankets, crating, and edge guards to prevent damage during transit.
• Select the correct packaging method based on product size, weight, and fragility.
• Securely wrap, label, and prepare orders for transport to job sites or customer pickup.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
