The Opportunity

We’re growing and looking for Apprentice Plumbers (all levels) and Journeyman Plumbers to join our team.

You’ll work across residential and light commercial projects, supporting installation, maintenance, and service work while delivering a high standard of quality and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures in residential and commercial settings
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine system layouts
• Measure, cut, assemble, and install pipes, fittings, and fixtures using hand and power tools
• Diagnose plumbing issues and complete repairs, replacements, and upgrades
• Install and service hot water tanks, tankless systems, boilers, and water treatment systems
• Test systems for leaks and performance using proper procedures
• Ensure all work complies with Alberta plumbing codes and safety standards
• Maintain clean, organized job sites and represent Headwall Mechanical professionally
• Communicate clearly with customers, teammates, and project partners
• Mentorship and apprentice development provided on-site

What We’re Looking For

Apprentices:
• Registered plumbing apprentice (1st–4th year) in Alberta or willingness to register
• Basic knowledge of tools, materials, and plumbing systems
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn in a hands-on environment

Journeymen:
• Valid Alberta Journeyman Plumber Certificate (Red Seal considered an asset)
• Strong troubleshooting and installation experience across residential and/or commercial systems
• Ability to work independently and lead jobs when required

For All Candidates:
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments (lifting, confined spaces, outdoor conditions)
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and teamwork
• Strong communication and customer service skills
