THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re currently seeking Spooling Welders & Bench Fitters for our Night Shift (Mon-Thurs- 4:30pm-2:30am)

QUALIFICATIONS
β€’ Knowledge of all quality requirements in accordance with ASME and API policy standards.
β€’ Ability to use hand tools and applicable shop machines safely and correctly.
β€’ Ability to read and interpret welding symbols.
β€’ Ability to use basic algebra, geometry and trigonometry to calculate angles and component layout techniques.
β€’ Able to determine appropriate welding equipment or method to use based on job requirements.
β€’ Ability to understand manufacturing sequence in a spooling fabrication shop.
β€’ Must be trained to safely operate an overhead crane.
β€’ Proficient in using a variety of welding equipment and proper procedures (MIG,TIG, etc.).
β€’ Experienced in using electrical or manual tools (saws, square, calibers, etc.).
β€’ Proficient in a variety of welding processes i.e., SMAW, GMAW, FCAW.
β€’ Experienced in using electrical or manual tools (saws, square, grinders, etc.).
β€’ Must use provided PPE (face-shield, gloves, etc.) to perform job in accordance with safety standards.
β€’ Professional Certification in AWS welding preferred.
β€’ Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds. Stand, kneel, bend, stoop, move, and walk long distances and in small areas with many moving pieces/parts.
β€’ Prefer candidates to have 3-5 years of welding and/or bench fitting experience, or a journeymen certificate.
β€’ High school diploma or equivalent.
β€’ Must be at least 18 years of age.
β€’ Must be able to work in a group/team environment as well as independently.
β€’ Willingness to work overtime and weekends when required.
