We are looking for an experienced welder to join our workshop located in Montréal.

Your Mission: Shaping Metal
• Perform various welding tasks
• Work with and understand different types of metals
• Brush, grind, and polish parts as needed
• Read and interpret blueprints
• Fabricate and assemble metal structures
• Repair vehicle transport trucks
• General maintenance
• Perform any other related tasks as requested by the immediate supervisor

What You Already Master - Technical Skills
• Proficiency in welding processes: SMAW, GMAW (MIG), FCAW
• Plasma cutting and oxy-fuel cutting skills
• Ability to weld using used or recycled materials
• Blueprint reading and metal structure fabrication
• Experience repairing trucks and trailers
• Experience repairing mining equipment and heavy machinery (an asset)
• Use of magnetic drill and industrial grinder
• Strict adherence to workplace safety standards

Desired Profile
• Strong expertise in welding, fabrication, and material preparation
• Experience with vehicle transport equipment
• Basic knowledge of road vehicle mechanics
• DEP in welding-assembly or equivalent diploma
• Proficiency in French (spoken and written)
• Attention to detail, precision, and accuracy
• Dynamic, disciplined, and team-oriented
• Autonomous with a strong sense of responsibility
• Compliance with health and safety rules
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in welding and fabrication

What You Can Expect from the Position
• Salary: $24.69/hr - $38.36/hr (based on relevant experience and collective agreement)
• Day shift: 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday
• Ability to commute to work location: 435 Norman Street, Lachine (required)
