Job Description
Our client, a reputable facilities management company, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Commercial Cleaning Operations Supervisor to oversee cleaning operations across various client sites. This position requires a hands-on approach and will involve regular presence at our facilities in and around **Gatineau, Quebec, CA**, and requires reliable transportation to visit multiple locations.

The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for managing a team of cleaning staff, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained in commercial environments, including office buildings, retail spaces, and industrial facilities. You will play a key role in scheduling, training, quality control, supply management, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Key responsibilities include:
Supervise, train, and motivate a team of cleaning staff to ensure efficient and effective service delivery. Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules for all assigned locations. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure quality standards, hygiene, and safety protocols are met. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ordering new stock as needed and ensuring proper storage and maintenance. Address client concerns and service requests promptly and professionally. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, including proper handling of chemicals and waste disposal. Maintain accurate records of staff performance, attendance, cleaning logs, and supply usage. Implement and enforce company policies and procedures among the cleaning team. Assist with recruitment and onboarding of new cleaning staff. Foster a positive and productive work environment for the cleaning team. Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality. Liaise with clients and facility managers to ensure satisfaction with cleaning services.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial services, or a related field, with at least 1 year of supervisory experience. Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively is essential. Strong knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and best practices in sanitation is required. Excellent organizational and time management skills are necessary for managing multiple sites and schedules. Good communication and interpersonal skills are important for interacting with staff and clients. A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation are mandatory for this role. A background check will be required.
