Job Overview:

Domus Building Cleaning Company Ltd. is looking for qualified Operations Manager for an immediate position located within the Ottawa area. Domus has been in operation for over 50 years with more than 600 employees in multiple provinces and has an excellent reputation as a janitorial services provider.

YOU MUST HAVE SOME COMMERCIAL CLEANING EXPERIENCE.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Oversee day-to-day management of current contracts, ensuring compliance and best in class service delivery.

· Conduct regular inspections and reviews of contract performance to ensure standards are being met,

· Develop and manage payroll budget for current (and future) contracts, ensuring operational efficiency and financial stability,

· Maintain and foster strong relationship with your clients through effective & prompt communication, combined with regular meetings,

· Address and resolve client concerns or issues with expediency and professionally,

· Lead the supervision of staff, ensuring a high level of performance and professionalism amongst all team members you are accountable for,

· Ensure all staff adhere to company policies and procedures,

· Ensure smooth and efficient operations across all sites,

· Participate in the development and implementation of the company's operational strategies,

· Involvement in our ISO Internal Audit as required,

· Involvement in our ISO External Audit as required,

· Visit and perform visual checkups and inspections at each site within portfolio at least once biweekly. Ensure that this is documented.

· Identify and maximize the importance of chargebacks, which are critical to the company's profitability and operations.

· Work closely with Business Analyst and Regional Vice President to analyze performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary to meet budgetary goals.

· Promote teamwork and collaboration across management / office, operations, and front-line workers.

· Participate in recruitment and staffing of sites with clearance requirements.

Required Skills/Abilities:
• Minimum of 5 years in operations management,
• Proven track record of successfully manage contracts, client relationships, and staff development.
• Proven experience in managing large-scale contracts and budgets.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment,
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strategic thinking with the ability to initiate and drive new operational initiatives.
• Experience in budgeting, work loading, and cost controls.
