We’re hiring an experienced MIG Welder/Fitter to join a busy and growing fabrication shop in Milton, Ontario. This full-time, permanent role is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision work and thrives in a hands-on production environment. As part of the hiring process, candidates will complete a practical weld test to demonstrate their skills.

Pay Rate: Up to $30/hr (Based on experience)

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Schedule: Monday – Friday (Mornings)

Responsibilities
β€’ Perform MIG (GMAW) welding on aluminum and steel components.
β€’ Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to fit and assemble parts accurately.
β€’ Cut, grind, and prepare materials to ensure strong, clean welds.
β€’ Inspect finished welds for quality, identifying defects such as porosity, undercut, or warping.
β€’ Set up and maintain welding equipment and fabrication tools.
β€’ Follow all health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Requirements
β€’ Minimum 2+ years of MIG welding and fitting experience in a shop environment.
β€’ Strong experience working with aluminum and steel.
β€’ Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and shop drawings.
β€’ Proficiency with measuring and layout tools (tape measures, squares, calipers).
β€’ Physical ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods.
β€’ Willingness to complete a hands-on weld test.
