The Role:

The Welder Helper position will help Pipe Welders and Pipe Fitters with day-to-day tasks. Job duties will include but not be limited to, grinding, material handling, house keeping, material cutting.

Key Responsibilities:
• Pick and layout parts for welders and fitters
• Ensure materials are prepped for fitters and welders
• Set up Pipe Spools for Welders in positioners or stands
• Perform tasks involving physical labour and assist skilled labourers (e.g. welders and fitters)
• Ensure all health and safety policies are followed
• Maintains clean work areas, which includes (but is not limited to); Sweeping up debris, picking up garbage, moving materials, rolling up cords, hoses, etc
• Responsible for performing a wide variety of tasks

What You Bring:
• High school education or GED equivalent
• C Level Welding Ticket
• Experience working with power tools or other industrial tools
• Able to follow directions and work well with others
• Able to safely lift up to 50 pounds
• Excellent communication skills being able to effectively communicate and problem solve with supervisors and team members
