Description

:

Performs routine heavy cleaning duties requiring the use of industrial cleaning equipment and technique to scrub, strip and refinish floors; washes walls; clean carpets and transports furniture and garbage to designated areas. Interacts with residents while performing tasks. Performs other related duties as assigned/required.

Qualifications

:

Grade 10 education is required. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. A Building Service Worker Certificate is preferred. A certificate course in Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems (WHMIS) is preferred. Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in the English language and to follow written and oral directions. Must pass CapitalCare literacy test.
