Hiring: Ticketed Sub Arc Operators (Day & Afternoon Shifts)

We are expanding! With a major uptick in our structural mining projects—including hard rock mining and chute fabrication—we are looking for two skilled Sub Arc Operators to join our team immediately.

Our shop is currently booked to capacity through June, and we are seeking reliable, hardworking welders to help us launch a new afternoon shift.

The Opportunity

Day Shift: Monday – Thursday 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Afternoon Shift: Monday – Thursday 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM

Compensation: $36 per hour

Shift Premium: +$3.00/hour for the Afternoon Shift

Duration: Immediate start; projects currently booked through October

Responsibilities

Equipment Operation: Set up, operate, and monitor Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) equipment to produce high-quality, high-penetration welds on heavy structural steel.

Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding process specifications to determine layouts and sequences.

Quality Assurance: Perform visual inspections of finished welds to ensure they meet industry standards and project tolerances; repair or touch up welds as needed.

Material Handling: Use overhead cranes and forklifts to position large-scale heavy metal components (chutes, structural beams) for welding.

Preparation: Perform necessary prep work including grinding, fitting, and tack welding segments to ensure precise alignment.

Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a clean workspace and perform routine maintenance on welding heads, flux recovery systems, and power sources.

Qualifications

Certification: You must be a Ticketed Welder.

Experience: Proven experience operating Sub Arc welding equipment.

Work Ethic: We value reliability and a "get-it-done" attitude.

Flexibility: All successful candidates will start on the Day Shift for initial onboarding and evaluation before transitioning to their permanent shift.
