Job Description
About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused AZ Delivery Driver to join our team at Edge1 Equipment Rentals. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe transportation, delivery, and pickup of medium to heavy construction and industrial equipment. You will serve as a key representative of our company, ensuring exceptional customer service while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and equipment care.

Key Responsibilities:
β€’ Safely transport, load, secure, and unload heavy and medium-sized equipment
β€’ Deliver and pick up rental equipment while ensuring all loads are properly secured and handled in accordance with safety protocols
β€’ Provide clear explanations of equipment operation to customers when required
β€’ Assist customers with the handling of large items
β€’ Inspect equipment condition prior to delivery and upon return to maintain fleet standards
β€’ Accurately complete all delivery and pickup paperwork, including inventory control documents to support the Rental Management System
β€’ Perform daily vehicle inspections, complete run sheets, inspection reports, and maintenance documentation
β€’ Refuel the vehicle at the end of each shift and promptly report any mechanical issues or required maintenance
β€’ Maintain cleanliness of the assigned vehicle, shop/ yard interior, and exterior areas
β€’ When not on delivery routes, assist with pre-loading equipment, equipment checks, vehicle maintenance, and other yard duties as assigned by the supervisor
β€’ Adhere to all provincial regulations, company safety policies, SOPs, and customer-specific safety requirements at all times

What You Bring to the Table:
β€’ Minimum 21 years of age
β€’ Valid Class AZ Driver’s License with air brake endorsement and a clean driving abstract
β€’ Minimum 1 year of previous AZ Class driving and delivery experience
β€’ Ability to regularly lift and load up to 50 lbs
β€’ Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
β€’ Strong commitment to safety and professionalism
β€’ Forklift and Heavy Equipment Operator certifications are considered strong assets
β€’ Experience with oversized loads (including securing permits and route planning) is highly desirable
β€’ Knowledge of municipal oversize load regulations and restrictions is an asset
