Job Summary
Marra Metal Ltd. is hiring a 2nd Year Welding Apprentice to Journeyman Welder with experience in structural steel welding and ironworking. Work includes welding and erecting structural buildings and miscellaneous steel in field environments.
Responsibilities
• Perform structural welding and fitting
• Assist with erection of structural steel and buildings
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
• Operate company welding truck and equipment
• Work safely at heights and on active job sites
• Coordinate with crew members and other trades
Requirements
• Registered 2nd/3rd year apprentice Welder or Ironworker
• Structural welding and/or ironworking experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to work independently and in small crews
Preferred Certifications
• Fall Protection (Fall Pro)
• Scissor Lift & Man Lift
• Telehandler / Zoom Boom
Company will provide required safety training if certifications are not already held.
Schedule
• 8–12 hour shifts
• 35–60 hours per week
• Overtime available and paid
