We are looking for a DZ Driver (Construction Sites) to transport our scaffolding and other materials safely to our sites across the GTA. We are looking for you! DZ Driver (Construction Sites) In this role, you’ll work with the Logistics Manager to organize your daily schedule, a small team of drivers, and will report to the General Manager. You’ll prioritize safety, follow all rules of the road, load/unload vehicles, and ensure the correct materials arrive at the correct sites across the GTA on time, complying with our policies and procedures. Practically speaking, you will: * Operate flatbed vehicle weighted for D class license to safely pick up and deliver scaffolding gear and equipment, performing pre-trip inspection of vehicle * Record information on pick-ups and deliveries such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs, or any problems, and report accidents, traffic violations, or vehicle issues or damage * Safely load and unload materials onto the trucks, check load-related documentation to ensure completion and accuracy, and maintain logs of working hours and vehicle service/repair status, following applicable provincial and federal regulations * Communicate effectively with the site crews, customers, and co-workers * Perform periodic inspections before, during, and after delivery to ensure that load is properly secured * Complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift (e.g., daily logs, inspection logs, delivery receipts, vehicle inspection, hours of service, etc.) We’re looking for safety-minded people who are organized and detail-oriented, have great interpersonal skills, and are strong written and verbal communicators who can engage with customers and fellow employees. You’ll also be a great fit for the role if you can maintain a professional demeanour under pressure, have a strong work ethic, and are able to work with minimal supervision. Working with Don Fry Scaffold Service: This is a full-time permanent position, working Monday-Friday, from 6:00 am until 2:00 or 3:00 pm on most days with opportunities for overtime and weekend work. You’ll earn a competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience, opportunities for scheduled raises, access to health benefits, group RRSP contributions, and an annual safety boot reimbursement. Qualifications: * Minimum 3 years’ commercial driving experience required * Experience loading and unloading vehicles accurately and safely * Valid DZ Driver’s License * Clean driving record and ability to produce a clean driver’s abstract * Physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs when loading and unloading * Valid crane operator’s license OR willingness to train for and obtain this * Ability to complete criminal background checks as needed per specific client sites * High school diploma * Experience engaging with customers/clients on site, or working in a customer-facing role How to Apply: Our online application will give you the option to apply to this role as a complete person – not just a resume.
