Position Overview

Zedcor is seeking a Surveillance Operator who will be responsible for utilizing our technology systems in real-time with video surveillance, detecting any suspicious activities to prevent vandalism, theft, or other criminal behavior, on our client’s premises for the protection of their staff, visitors, and company property.

Key Responsibilities
• Monitor multiple live surveillance feeds to detect and act on suspicious activity.
• Conduct real-time virtual patrols and respond to events as they unfold.
• Follow site-specific protocols to protect client asset relative to theft, tampering, vandalism, and other safety issues.
• Maintains environment by monitoring and setting equipment controls.
• Adhere to all company service and operating standards.
• Provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Requirements
• Experience with surveillance software (Genetec, Avigilon) is a plus—but not required. Full training provided.
• Background in security, emergency response, or gaming is an asset.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Extreme attention to detail and quick decision-making.
• Comfortable with computers and multitasking across screens.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts (days, nights, weekends, holidays).

• Salary range: CA$23.00 per hour (depending on experience)
