Job Description
AltaSteel is currently seeking a safety-conscious Journeyperson Welder to join our Maintenance team. This role plays a vital part in supporting production by performing timely plant welding repairs and contributing to fabrication and rebuild projects in our fab shop.

Responsibilities
• Perform structural welding repairs across a wide range of plant equipment and infrastructure
• Support production areas through efficient and high-quality welding work
• Complete fabrication and rebuild projects in the fab shop
• Weld using SMAW and FCAW processes, primarily on mild steel, with occasional work on stainless steel and aluminum
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies and procedures
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to complete projects accurately

Qualifications & Skills
• Journeyman Alberta Welder or Red Seal Welder certification
• CWB certified SMAW all positions, must show proof upon offer
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to procedures
• Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges
• Effective communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
