Position Overview

Allied Universal is currently seeking a highly professional and dependable Bilingual Security Controller / Site Lead to support security operations in Ottawa, Ontario. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day site security activities while ensuring all operational procedures, access control protocols, and client expectations are maintained to the highest standard.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, excellent communication skills in both English and French, and the ability to effectively manage security operations within a fast-paced environment.
Mandatory Requirements
• Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident status required
• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Valid First Aid & CPR Certification
• Fluency in both English and French (written and verbal)
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience in a Security Controller, Control Room, Dispatch, Site Lead, or Supervisory role
• Experience with CCTV systems, access control platforms, and incident management procedures
• Strong leadership, organizational, and conflict-resolution abilities
• Excellent report writing and communication skills
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and professionalism in high-pressure situations
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
• Proficiency with basic computer systems and security software applications
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee and coordinate daily security operations at the assigned site
• Monitor CCTV, alarm systems, and access control systems
• Ensure all visitors, contractors, and staff adhere to site access procedures
• Issue, verify, and maintain security credentials and identification badges
• Maintain accurate occurrence reports, daily logs, and incident documentation
• Provide operational guidance and support to guards during assigned shifts
• Conduct routine patrols and inspections to ensure site safety and compliance
• Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, and escalations
• Liaise with management, clients, emergency services, and site personnel as required
• Promote a professional, customer-service-focused security presence at all times
Physical & Working Conditions
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs may be required
• Primarily indoor control room/office environment with occasional outdoor duties
• Ability to remain alert, attentive, and composed throughout the duration of shifts
