Overview:Looking for Light Duty Cleaners, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of buildings up to Ultra Shine standards. Light Duty Cleaners must be able to comprehend and communicate detailed instructions orally and in writing. They should be able to multitask, and prioritize important tasks, or customer requests. Light Duty Cleaners should have strong problem solving skills, and be able to manage their time. They must have good interpersonal skills to interact with supervisors, other cleaners, and customers.
Responsibilities:
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming.
• Empty garbage and replace liners.
• Clean washrooms and replace supplies as needed.
• Horizontal and vertical low dusting - surfaces below 6 feet.
• Horizontal and vertical high dusting - surfaces above 6 feet.
• Clean windows and glass.
• Clean and restore building interiors damaged by water, fire or smoke.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Order supplies as needed.
• Report any damage or repairs needed for the equipment to management.

Relationships:
• Internal Contacts – frequent contact with On Site Supervisor, Account Supervisor, General Manager and Manager, Customer Experience & Quality Assurance
• External Contacts – frequent contact with customers and general public

Education and Experience:
• No education/experience required

Skills and Knowledge:
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; and
• Must have the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.

Physical Demands:
• Previous experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good time management skills to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties that may require lifting or moving items up to 25 pounds.
• Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and company policies while on the job.
