Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Plumber apprentice (Y3-Y5) to join our construction and maintenance team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of plumbing systems, construction practices, and related mechanical skills. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing infrastructure across various projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes. The Plumber Apprentice will work closely with journeyman plumber, and team members to deliver high-quality workmanship in a timely manner.

Duties
• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute plumbing tasks accurately
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical devices to complete installations and repairs
• Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to support project requirements
• Conduct routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent future issues
• Collaborate with carpenters, HVAC technicians, and other trades to coordinate work efforts
• Follow safety protocols and building codes during all phases of work to ensure a safe working environment
• Assist in assembly and installation of plumbing components as per project specifications
• Troubleshoot issues using schematics and basic math skills to determine appropriate solutions

Requirements
• Registered Plumbing Apprentice (Ontario) in good standing (Y3 - Y5)
• Proven experience in plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance within construction or industrial environments
• Mechanical knowledge including HVAC systems, schematics reading, and general maintenance skills
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics interpretation
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work on construction sites for extended periods
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading and basic math for measurements and calculations
• Knowledge of carpentry principles related to plumbing installations
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
