The Ministério do Trabalho e Emprego sets the national minimum wage at R$1,650 per month for electricians as of 1 January 2026, with a mandatory 50% premium for overtime hours beyond 44 per week. Electricians in São Paulo state receive an additional R$180 monthly regional allowance under the 2025 collective agreement extended to 2026.

Candidates must hold a Técnico em Eletrotécnica diploma from SENAI or equivalent plus registration with the regional CREA council, as mandated by Law 13.639/2018 updated in 2025. Two years of documented experience or 1,200 hours of supervised internship are required before CREA issues the professional license.

Applicants must submit CPF, RG, proof of technical diploma, CREA registration number, and Carteira de Trabalho digital via the Sine platform before 31 March 2026. A negative criminal record certificate issued within the last 90 days is also mandatory for roles involving high-voltage work.

Standard electrician contracts limit working time to 44 hours per week with at least one 24-hour rest period, as defined in the 2026 CLT update. Employees receive 30 consecutive days of paid annual leave plus the 13th salary payment due by 30 November 2026.
