Job Purpose

To protect designated premises, assets, and personnel by maintaining a safe and secure environment. The Security Guard is responsible for observing and reporting any signs of crime, disorder, or hazard, and ensuring that all site safety and security procedures are followed in accordance with BASMA's high service standards and client contractual agreements.

2. Key Responsibilities
Access Control & Surveillance:

Control entry and exit of all individuals, vehicles, and materials at the assigned site.

Verify credentials, check identification badges, and maintain accurate visitor logs.

Monitor CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and fire panels to detect irregular activities or safety breaches.

Conduct regular patrols of the premises (both interior and exterior) to identify security risks, fire hazards, or maintenance issues.

Safety & Emergency Response:

Respond immediately to emergencies, including fires, medical incidents, or security breaches.

Execute emergency response procedures, including evacuation coordination and first aid administration (if certified).

Report safety hazards (e.g., wet floors, faulty wiring, broken lights) to the supervisor immediately.

Reporting & Administration:

Maintain a daily log of all activities, incidents, and shift handovers.

Complete detailed incident reports for any accidents, thefts, or unusual occurrences.

Liaise with civil defense and law enforcement authorities when required.

Customer Service:

Act as a first point of contact for visitors and clients, offering assistance and directions with professionalism and courtesy.

Uphold the corporate image of BASMA by maintaining a neat appearance and professional demeanor at all times.

3. Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Background:

High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Valid Security Guard license or certification from the appropriate Bahraini authorities (Ministry of Interior/General Directorate of Civil Defense) is mandatory.

Experience:

Previous experience in security, facilities management, or the hospitality industry is an advantage.

Ex-military or ex-police personnel are highly encouraged to apply.

Skills & Competencies:

Vigilance: High level of attentiveness and observation skills.

Integrity: Honest, reliable, and able to handle sensitive information confidentially.

Communication: Basic proficiency in English and Arabic (verbal) is preferred to communicate with diverse clients and authorities.

Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit to stand for long periods and conduct patrols.

Technical Aptitude: Ability to operate basic security equipment (CCTV, two-way radios, fire alarms).

4. Working Conditions
Willingness to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

May be required to work outdoors for extended periods depending on the site assignment.

Uniform and safety equipment will be provided by BASMA.
