Job description
ABOUT US
We are West to West Kitchen, an award-winning restaurant based in Abu Dhabi, serving Sierra Leonean, Trinidadian and Jamaican dishes. We don’t just prepare food – we share culture, create experiences and build community.
Alongside our restaurant operations, we work as an F&B provider at major sports and cultural events, including the Abu Dhabi Formula One Grand Prix, the Emirates Airline Dubai Sevens, Sole DXB and the 2025 Coldplay concerts, among others.
As we grow, we’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Team Member to join us and help maintain the food, service, hygiene and operational standards that West to West Kitchen is known for.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a varied, hands-on position at the heart of our restaurant operations. Depending on the shift, you may prepare and serve food, take orders and payments, pack delivery orders, clean work areas or support your colleagues wherever you are needed.
You will work across our Najda and Masdar City locations and may also be required to support off-site events, pop-ups or new locations as the business grows.
This role would suit someone who enjoys food and hospitality, takes pride in their work and is comfortable moving between different tasks during a shift. Previous restaurant experience is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare and serve food and beverages to West to West Kitchen standards
• Deliver friendly and professional guest service
• Take orders and process cash and card payments accurately
• Process online orders and work with delivery platforms to support accurate and timely fulfilment
• Pack takeaway and delivery orders carefully and correctly
• Clean and sanitise work areas, utensils and equipment, including completing scheduled deep-cleaning tasks
• Maintain clean, hygienic and well-presented service and seating areas
• Follow all food-safety, personal-hygiene and workplace-safety procedures
• Assist with stock counts, wastage records and incoming deliveries
• Follow instructions from Supervisors and Management and report operational issues promptly
• Support off-site events, including major sporting and cultural events, when required
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• A genuine enjoyment of food and hospitality
• Good spoken and written English
• Reliability, punctuality and the ability to follow instructions accurately
• A positive, team-focused attitude and willingness to support different areas of the operation
• Confidence handling cash, card payments and basic stock counts
• Strong attention to hygiene, cleanliness and food safety
• Willingness to work flexibly across our locations and scheduled shifts
• The ability to read and respond promptly to work-related communications by phone, WhatsApp and email
Previous hospitality, F&B or quick-service restaurant experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
Experience using POS systems or delivery platforms such as Talabat and Deliveroo, and familiarity with West African and/or Caribbean food and culture, would also be advantageous.
WHAT WE OFFER
West to West Kitchen Team Member Training Programme, covering:
• How to prepare every item on the West to West Kitchen menu
• ADAFSA food-safety requirements, including EFST training
• First Aid training
• Guest service, food preparation and operational procedures
• POS, delivery-order and other relevant restaurant systems
Pay:
• Starting salary of AED 2,600/month
Additional Benefits:
• Health Insurance
• Visa
• Meal benefits
• Training and opportunities to develop within the business
ADDITIONAL NOTES
• We do not provide accommodation
HOW TO APPLY
• Email [email protected] with your name, contact details and a short note confirming your interest.
• Subject: West to West Kitchen | Team Member Vacancy
• We'll then send you a full job description (which will include salary and benefits) and our First Round Written Questions. You'll need to complete these to move to the next stage.
• Responses must be received by Sunday 27th September 2026 (early submission strongly encouraged). Candidates progressing to interview will be contacted by the same date.
• Due to the volume of applications, we'll only be able to contact successful candidates and won't be able to give individual feedback.
Thanks and we look forward to hearing from you.
