Job Description
Job Title: Security Watchman (Manufacturing & Industrial)

Location: Hermanstad, Pretoria.
Shift: [Rotating 12-hour shifts / Night Shift]

Reports to: Security HOD

Role Overview:

We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Watchman to join our manufacturing team. You will be the first line of defense in protecting our facility, personnel, and high-value industrial assets. Your primary goal is to maintain a safe, secure, and orderly environment by monitoring access points and conducting regular site patrols.

Key Responsibilities:
• Access Control: Manage the main gate; verify credentials for employees, contractors, and delivery drivers. Maintain accurate visitor and vehicle logs.
• Surveillance: Monitor CCTV feeds and alarm systems to detect unauthorized entry or suspicious activity.
• Site Patrolling: Perform scheduled foot or vehicle patrols of the warehouse, production floor, and perimeter fences to ensure all points are secure.
• Safety Enforcement: Ensure all entrants are wearing required PPE (Hard hats, vests, etc.) and report any industrial hazards like leaks or fire risks.
• Logistics Support: Inspect outgoing trucks against dispatch notes to prevent inventory shrinkage or unauthorized removal of equipment.
• Emergency Response: Act as a first responder for onsite incidents; coordinate with emergency services and assist in facility evacuations if necessary.

Required Qualifications:
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in industrial or warehouse security.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to stand/walk for long periods and work in various weather conditions.
• Skills: Basic computer literacy for digital logging; strong verbal communication and conflict-resolution skills.
• Clearance: Must pass a comprehensive criminal background check and drug screening
