Duties:
• Read and interpret drawings and welding specifications.
• Perform welding using CO2 (MIG/MAG) and TIG (GTAW) processes on various metals.
• Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment.
• Inspect and test welds to meet quality and code standards.
• Carry out repairs, rework, and finishing as needed.
• Maintain safety standards and a clean work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time.

Requirements:
• Trade certification and double coded welder qualification (CO2 and TIG) - beneficial.
• Experience working with aluminium and thick steel.
• Matric - beneficial
• Boiler maker experience - beneficial
• Proven experience as a welder, with competency in both CO2 and TIG processes.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and welding symbols.
• Knowledge of welding standards, codes, and safety regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds.
• Physical stamina and manual dexterity for handling heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Problem-solving skills for identifying welding defects and applying corrective measures.
