About Us We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Team Leader – Plumbing to join our technical team at Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital. The successful candidate will lead and supervise a plumbing team, ensuring the delivery of effective, efficient, and compliant maintenance services across the facility. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong technical experience, exceptional organisational ability, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship and safety standards.

Duties & Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Execute planned preventative plumbing maintenance and repair tasks. Supervise and guide Artisan Plumbers and Artisan Aids. Ensure best operating practices and trade standards are applied at all times. Provide material requirements and updates to the Maintenance Supervisor. Complete and submit weekly timesheets and documentation. Drive adherence to company Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) policies, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 18001. Prioritise, plan, and complete maintenance tasks within set timelines. Identify critical spares and liaise with the Supervisor for procurement. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Support other departments and perform reasonable ad hoc duties as required. Work from heights, confined spaces, and operate gas welding/soldering equipment safely.

Skills & Knowledge

Strong technical plumbing expertise, including repairs, materials, methods, tools, and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret plumbing drawings.
Competent with gas welding torches and soldering.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to plan, organise, and manage workload effectively.
Strong understanding of safety hazards and safe working practices.

Qualifications Qualifications Matric Trade Tested Master Plumber (Red Seal) Valid PIRB Registration Certificate Experience 5–10 years’ experience in plumbing maintenance or contracting fields.
