Minimum Requirements

Matric certificate/ equivalent

A valid Auto motive Trade Test certificate.

Colour coding course.

Competent B

Valid Driver’s license

Medically fit to work underground

Experience, Knowledge & Skills

At least 3 years’ underground trackless experience as a qualified artisan.

3 years’ underground experience as an Auto Electrician on trackless equipment.

Component failure analysis and prevention, Equipment installation, repair and maintenance in underground trackless mining section.

Working knowledge of Mineral Act & Regulations.

Working knowledge of Codes of Practice and working guides.

Lock-out procedures.

Roles & Responsibilities

Total adherence and compliance with the safety system

Preventative maintenance on TMM LV electrical systems.

Fault finding and repair on TMM LV electrical system.

Execute work orders as per schedule and to a high standard.

Undertake training to remain abreast with new developments in the field.

Continuous improvement of maintenance to ensure improved TMM availability and to optimize stock holding
