Job Description
About Us - Zombie Walk Cape Town is an iconic annual event that has been haunting the streets of the Mother City since 2009. We aren’t just a parade; we are a massive logistical operation involving thousands of participants, intricate sets, and city-wide coordination. We are looking for a reliable Driver who understands that “getting from A to B” is the most important part of our event’s success.

The Role You’ll be the engine of our logistics team. This is not a passive driving job; it is an active role where you will be the point person for moving equipment, props, and personnel across Cape Town. You’ll be working closely with our production team to ensure every piece of the Halloween puzzle is in the right place at the right time.

Key Responsibilities
• Transport: Move event infrastructure, sound equipment, and supplies across various city locations.
• Logistics Support: Assist the team with loading and unloading heavy props and event kits.
• Vehicle Care: Conduct daily safety checks and ensure the vehicle is fueled and event-ready.
• Site Setup: Provide hands-on help at the start and finish lines during the event weekend.
• Flex Role: Be ready to pivot—some days you’re a driver, other days you’re helping the site manager secure a perimeter.

About You
• Experience: 3+ years of driving experience with a clean record. Experience in event logistics or film production transport is a huge plus.
• Skills: Excellent knowledge of Cape Town routes; physically fit and able to handle heavy lifting.
• Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using GPS and team communication apps like WhatsApp or Slack.
• Personality: Punctual, steady under pressure, and a team player who doesn’t mind rolling up their sleeves.

What We Offer
• Location: Cape Town
• Employment Type: Contract (6 Months)
• Salary: R8000 – R10000 for the contract period (depending on hours/experience)

Why Work With Us: This is the ultimate role for a logistics pro who loves the city! You’ll get to feed off the energy of Cape Town behind the scenes, work in a high-octane environment, and ensure the gears are turning for the most legendary night of the year.

How to Apply: Applications for this role are accepted exclusively through our official website at zombiewalk.co.za.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: R8 000,00 - R10 000,00 per month

Work Location: On the road
