Key Responsibilities:
Assist journeyman electricians in the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Learn to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams. Study and apply electrical codes and safety regulations. Perform basic electrical tasks under supervision, such as wiring, connecting circuits, and testing equipment. Gain experience with a variety of electrical tools and testing equipment. Participate actively in online training modules, virtual workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions. Maintain a strong commitment to safety protocols and best practices at all times. Develop a thorough understanding of electrical theory and practical application. Assist with inventory management of electrical supplies and materials. Document training progress and completed tasks as required.
Qualifications:
Minimum of Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification. A strong aptitude for practical, hands-on work and a keen interest in the electrical trade. Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic. Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions accurately. Basic mathematical and literacy skills. Access to a reliable internet connection and a suitable device for remote learning.
