Introduction

PERM POSITION based in Muldersdrift with high growth specialist company

Duties & Responsibilities

β€’ Mig, tig and arch welding of aluminium and steel (also stainless steel)

β€’ Cutting, grinding and polishing activities

β€’ Inspections and preparation and building of product to correct specifications

β€’ Compliance to the OHS Act – General Safety Regulations Reg 9 – Welding, flame cutting, soldering and similar operations

Desired Experience & Qualification

β€’ Three – Five years welding experience working with mig, tig and arch welding.

β€’ Positions requires good mathematical ability and the ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.

β€’ Position requires the ability to operate precision measuring devices such as callipers, micrometres, protractors and tape measures

β€’ Knowledge of HJS South Africa products.

β€’ Ability to get along with others and work as part of a team.

β€’ Must be able to think out of the box and initiate solutions in processes.

β€’ Excellent troubleshooting skills.

β€’ Ability to handle tense field situations in a professional and calm manner.

β€’ Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures. Must have excellent verbal and written skills.

β€’ Must be proficient in industry safety, OHS Act and MHS Act.

β€’ This position works in a production environment with the risk of injury, procedures must be followed as per HJS South Africa standards.

β€’ Safety equipment must be worn when working with equipment in the shop, know and inspect your safety equipment.

β€’ Bending, lifting and pushing is required.

β€’ Valid driver’s licence

Competitive Basic Salary R17k - R28k per month depending on qualifications and experience
