Our client is a fully integrated red meat value chain and they are looking for a Plumber to join their team as soon as possible.

Duties & Responsibilities

OB DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Planned Maintenance
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance work
• Ensure Job cards issued are completed
• Effective turnaround time of Corrective and Preventive maintenance work issued
• Ensuring Job cards are completed correctly
• Maintenance check sheets are returned and completed accurately

Unplanned Maintenance
• Response time to breakdowns reported
• Reporting of Downtime details accurately

Site Housekeeping
• Maintenance areas are always kept neat and tidy

General
• Ownership of designated facility
• Ensure area of responsibility is Cavalier standards
• Report any deviance of Policies and procedures
• Available to work overtime as per company operational requirements
• No Rework of jobs completed
• No leaks on any equipment
• Code Compliance – understanding of local building codes of standards
• CCTV pipe inspection and reports
• Fat and Grease Trap management by means of HP cleaning.

Standby
• Availability for Standby as per roaster
• Adequate response time to callouts
• Completing standby form with accurate details

SHEQ
• Always ensure acceptable personal hygiene of all staff.
• Always manage correct use of PPE.
• Process and product hygiene standards are always maintained.
• All duties are performed according to the Companys Occupational Health and Safety guidelines and procedures.

Desired Experience & Qualification

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Grade 12
• Red Seal (Section 13 or 26D) trade test certificate is required

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
• 3 - 5 years plumbing maintenance experience is required
