Job Description
**Scope**:The Assistant Driver, is responsible for transporting packages from the warehouse location to the scheduled customer address. Some of the duties will include loading parcels into their vehicle, using a navigation system to map their route and delivering parcels to the correct addresses in a timely manner.
β€’ *Qualifications and work experience**
- Grade 12
- Driving/delivery experience of a minimum of 2 years
- **Valid driver’s license code 10 and PDP**
β€’ *Roles and Responsibilities**
- Check and assist to load orders in the vehicle every day.
- Validate invoices against loaded stock.
- Take responsibility of goods loaded and offloaded from the vehicle
- Check vehicle daily and complete checklist when driver not available
- Abide by rules of the road
- Collect COD monies where necessary when driver not available
- Liaise with customer appropriately to ensure customer satisfaction
- Collect returned stock as necessary from customers
- Housekeeping of vehicle to keep it presentable in the eyes of a customer
