Job Description
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Cleaning & Sanitation Supervisor to oversee their hygiene operations in Polokwane, Limpopo, ZA . This critical role ensures the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation are maintained throughout our facilities, complying with all health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a meticulous attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of cleaning protocols and chemical safety. You will be responsible for managing a team of cleaning staff, developing work schedules, conducting inspections, and maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies.

Responsibilities:
Supervise and direct the daily activities of the cleaning and sanitation staff. Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure a safe and hygienic environment. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with sanitation standards and identify areas needing attention. Train new cleaning staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and the use of equipment and chemicals. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed. Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained in good working order. Enforce safety regulations and procedures, including the proper handling of hazardous materials. Address any cleaning-related issues or concerns promptly and efficiently. Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, staff performance, and supply usage. Foster a positive and productive work environment for the cleaning team.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a supervisory role within the cleaning or sanitation industry. Demonstrated knowledge of cleaning methods, sanitation standards, and health and safety regulations. Experience in managing and motivating a team. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to conduct thorough inspections and identify potential hazards. Basic understanding of inventory management. Physical ability to perform some cleaning tasks and lift moderately heavy items. High school diploma or equivalent; further certification in sanitation is a plus.
