Job Purpose:
To perform welding, fabrication, and repair work on metal components and structures in accordance with engineering specifications and safety standards to support efficient plant and operational activities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform welding and fabrication work according to technical drawings and specifications
• Repair damaged metal components and structures
• Cut, grind, fit, and assemble metal parts
• Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure quality standards are met
• Operate welding equipment and hand tools safely and effectively
• Assist with plant maintenance and shutdown activities
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Complete job cards and maintenance documentation
• Report equipment faults and material shortages to supervisors
Minimum Requirements:
• Grade 12 / Matric
• Relevant Welding Qualification or Trade Certificate
• Minimum 3-5 years' welding experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment
• Proficient in MIG, TIG, Arc, and COâ?? welding processes
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols
• Experience working with stainless steel, mild steel, and other metals
