Job Description
General Purpose of Position:

LPS Protection Officers are responsible for detecting, reporting and resolving matters in the area of safety and risk, theft prevention, inventory and access control and for providing customer service as per Company standards.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
β€’ Conduct access control to the property for staff contractors and visitors.
β€’ Perform Breathelizer testing for alcohol and drugs on everyone that enters the premises.
β€’ Conduct routine inspections of the facility to maintain physical security and protection of assets.
β€’ Monitor closed circuit television systems, if applicable.
β€’ Enforce company standards as they relate to security and safety procedures.
β€’ Participate in the training of new hire associates in matters of loss prevention.
β€’ Conduct daily, weekly and monthly store audits.
β€’ Conduct safety inspections and communicate hazards to keyholder on duty.
β€’ Ensure physical security by controlling access of associates and visitors, along with maintaining visitor control log.
β€’ Participate in the property’s safety programs.
β€’ Any other tasks as assigned from time to time by any manager.

β€’ Ability to maintain records and documentation.
β€’ Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.

Requirements:
β€’ Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
β€’ Strong interpersonal, communication, organization and follow-through skills.
β€’ Physical ability to stand for extended periods, and to see or hear activity in the store, and perform all functions as set forth above.
β€’ Must have at least a C grade training certificate, must be registered at PSIRA, be in possession of a valid identity document.

Β· 12 hours per shift. Shifts will be calculated and given be to via rosters.
Pay: R9 000,00 - R9 500,00 per month
