Job Description
Position: Assistant Electrician

Location: International placement onboard a cruise line

Crew Life At Sea is recruiting Assistant Electricians on behalf of one of our cruise line partners. This hands-on role supports the maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic systems across the ships hotel and engine areas.

This opportunity allows candidates to gain valuable international work experience in a fast-paced technical environment. All placements through Crew Life At Sea are direct hires - no recruitment or placement fees are charged to applicants.

Role Responsibilities:
• Support troubleshooting and repair of electrical and electronic equipment in hotel and engine areas
• Perform routine maintenance on low-voltage (LV) power distribution systems
• Inspect and replace lamps, light fixtures, and related hardware
• Assist in the maintenance and repair of elevators and public area systems
• Maintain and report electrical stock and support inventory counts
• Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and quality procedures (ISM, HESS, etc.)
• Participate in planned maintenance system (PMS) tasks and report outcomes to superiors
• Keep electrical workspaces and equipment organized and clean
• Actively contribute to shipboard health and safety culture and procedures

Who We're Looking For:
• Completed professional electrical qualification
• Experience with electrical maintenance and installations
• Knowledge of LV distribution systems and troubleshooting electrical systems
• Proactive work ethic and ability to work under minimal supervision
• English fluency (B1 level or higher required)
• Ability to comply with maritime safety, environmental, and quality standards
