Job Description
Our client is seeking a meticulous and highly reliable Specialist Industrial Cleaner to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene within their operational facilities. This demanding role requires a thorough understanding of industrial cleaning protocols, safety procedures, and the effective use of specialized equipment and chemicals. The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing large-scale industrial environments, ensuring a safe and healthy workplace for all employees and visitors. Precision, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintaining a pristine environment are paramount.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform deep cleaning and sanitization of industrial machinery, production lines, warehouses, and common areas. Operate and maintain industrial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, pressure washers, and vacuum systems. Safely handle and apply a variety of industrial cleaning chemicals, adhering strictly to safety data sheets (SDS) and company guidelines. Develop and implement detailed cleaning schedules for different areas and equipment. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and chemicals, ensuring adequate stock levels. Dispose of waste materials, including hazardous waste, in accordance with environmental regulations and company policies. Conduct regular inspections to identify areas requiring attention and implement corrective actions. Ensure all cleaning activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Respond promptly to spills or emergency cleaning situations. Train new staff on industrial cleaning procedures and safety protocols as needed. Maintain detailed logs of cleaning activities, chemical usage, and equipment maintenance. Report any maintenance issues with cleaning equipment or facility infrastructure. Uphold a high standard of personal hygiene and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Industrial Cleaner or in a similar role. Demonstrated knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals. Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to industrial cleaning. Experience with hazardous waste handling and disposal is a significant advantage. Ability to operate heavy cleaning machinery safely and effectively. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to thoroughness. Good physical health and the ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting and bending. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts and weekends if required. Relevant certifications in chemical handling or industrial cleaning are a plus.
