Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and drive service excellence across multiple cleaning contracts. This role is responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring SLA delivery, maintaining strong client relationships, and leading large teams across various sites. You will play a key role in operational efficiency, financial performance, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Service Delivery
β€’ Oversee daily operations across multiple sites, ensuring high-quality service delivery
β€’ Manage resource allocation and staffing to meet SLA requirements
β€’ Conduct regular site visits, inspections, and quality checks
β€’ Ensure work schedules and job cards are in place and adhered to
β€’ Maintain company standards, policies, and cleaning methodologies
β€’ Manage asset control, equipment maintenance, and consumables

Client Relationship Management
β€’ Build and maintain strong client relationships
β€’ Conduct regular client meetings and ensure service expectations are met
β€’ Proactively address client concerns and mitigate contract risks
β€’ Identify upselling and contract growth opportunities

People & Labour Management
β€’ Lead, develop, and manage large teams (managers, supervisors, cleaners)
β€’ Oversee recruitment, performance management, and training initiatives
β€’ Ensure compliance with labour legislation, IR processes, and disciplinary procedures
β€’ Represent the business in CCMA cases and union engagements where required

Financial & Commercial Management
β€’ Manage budgets, forecasts, and cost controls across all sites
β€’ Monitor labour costs, consumables, and overall unit profitability
β€’ Ensure accurate billing, financial reporting, and debtor management
β€’ Identify and drive additional revenue opportunities within contracts

Health, Safety & Compliance
β€’ Ensure full compliance with OHS and industry regulations
β€’ Maintain adherence to company policies and statutory requirements

Qualifications & Experience
β€’ Minimum: Matric
β€’ Advantage: Relevant tertiary qualification
β€’ Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar operations management role
β€’ Proven experience managing large teams and multiple client sites
