Duties & Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Drive the vehicle to designated destinations for customer product deliveries

Ensure that loads are balanced and secured

Perform vehicle inspection, such as checking fluid level and tyre pressures

Loading and offloading

Notifying the logistics supervisor of any repairs and maintenance needed

Maintain the vehicle clean and safe

Drive according to traffic regulations, and deliver products within deadlines

Analyse the delivery address, determine appropriate routes and maintain the schedule

Report delays, breakdowns, or incidents and / injuries to logistics supervisor

Load stock according to the delivery note

Ensure that upon delivery, client signs the delivery note, all signed PODs to be handed in daily to the logistics supervisor.

Daily delivery trip sheet to be filled in and handed daily to the logistics supervisor.

Interact with clients professionally at all times

Maintain the correct PPE

Any ad hoc duties

Desired Experience & Qualification

Required Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

5 years’ experience in a similar role

Knowledge of the National Road Traffic Act 93 of 1996

Valid Code 14 (EC) Licence

Required Competencies:

Excellent customer service skills

Effective communication skills

Time management skills

No criminal record (criminal checks will be conducted)
